SkyTower Surges To Record Heights in Toronto

The supertall skyscraper now stands over 80 stories on Toronto’s skyline.

📰 What Happened: Construction on SkyTower, Canada’s future tallest building, is accelerating in Downtown Toronto. The supertall skyscraper, part of the One Yonge master plan, now stands over 80 stories, and will surpass 106 stories to reach 351.85 meters at completion, overtaking competitors as the country’s tallest structure.

🔍 A Closer Look: SkyTower will join One Bloor West as the second skyscraper in Toronto to achieve supertall status. Designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects, SkyTower will feature over 900 residential units, a Le Méridien hotel, retail space, amenities, and connect to Toronto's PATH network when completed.

🧠 Why It Matters: As Toronto's skyline undergoes a dramatic transformation, SkyTower’s ascent signals not only the city’s architectural evolution but also the rapid growth of the eastern waterfront. The addition of a sizeable residential and hospitality hub should further fuel demand for high-rise developments in the region.
