Overview of The Grove's 1,278-acre plans along the shores of Lake Talmadge in Henry County
📰 What Happened: The Grove, one of the biggest developments in metro Atlanta’s history, has received final approval from Henry County's Board of Commissioners. Geosam Capital’s project will span nearly 1,300 acres and include 6,000 homes alongside 2 million square feet of commercial, retail, and public space.
🔍 A Closer Look: The multi-phase project features a blend of single-family homes, townhomes, multifamily units, and active-adult housing that includes a commercial core with retail. Public amenities include 150 acres of greenspace, 35 pocket parks, and 8 miles of trails. The first phase of development will focus on residential development and infrastructure upgrades, including road and utility improvements.
🧠 Why It Matters: With a mix of housing options and extensive green space, the development—south of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport—will transform the area surrounding Lake Talmadge. The Grove is expected to improve the local economy, providing new jobs and attracting both residents and businesses to metro Atlanta.
